MERCEDES AMG F1 TEAM AND PETRONAS COMPANY HAVE ANNOUNCED THE EXTENSION OF THE TITLE AND TECHNICAL PARTNERSHIP

The Mercedes AMG F1 team and the Malaysian oil company Petronas at an event in Kuala Lumpur announced the extension of the title and technical partnership from 2026 - after the expiration of the current contract.
This is the most successful title partnership in the history of Formula 1 – since 2010, the team has won 115 Grands Prix and eight Constructors' Cups. Mercedes AMG F1 and Petronas together will develop 100% eco-friendly fuel for power plants in 2026.
According to the head of the Mercedes AMG F1 team Toto Wolff, the announcement of the partnership, which will begin in 2026, after the end of the current contract, is an important signal that the Mercedes team and Petronas are no longer just partners, but a real family that will be one team for many years to come.
