Kimi Secures Fourth Consecutive Grand Prix Victory, Surpassing Legends — A Landmark Achievement Powered by Petronas

On May 24, 2026, at the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal, Italian driver Kimi Antonelli of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team set a new Formula 1 record. He became the first driver in history to win three consecutive races following his debut victory — securing his fourth straight win.

Previously, the best such streaks after a maiden win belonged to Damon Hill and Mika Häkkinen, each achieving two consecutive wins after their first victory.

A key enabler of this historic performance is the longstanding technical partnership between the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team and Petronas. Petronas’ advanced fuels, engine oils, and lubricants deliver maximum efficiency, stability, and power output throughout the entire race distance. The reliability and predictability of the power unit — achieved through Petronas’ engineering solutions — allowed Antonelli to push to the limit for four consecutive races without any loss of performance or technical issues.

The Canadian win strengthened Antonelli’s lead in the Drivers’ Championship standings, bringing his total to 131 points. His teammate George Russell (Mercedes) holds second place with 88 points. In the Constructors’ Championship, Mercedes also leads with 219 points — a clear validation of the technological partnership with Petronas.
